Utah’s Best Authentic Ramen

Where Tradition Meets Passion

At Ramen Haus, every bowl of ramen is a bridge to Japan, a celebration of flavor, and a connection to loved ones. The team’s dedication to authentic, high-quality Japanese food shines in every dish. Their mission? To share the comforting and flavorful tradition of Japanese ramen with the Utah community. It’s this passion that makes Ramen Haus a standout destination for food lovers across the state.

A Challenging Start: Rising Above the Pandemic

The Lays took over Ramen Haus in March 2020, right as the world faced the unprecedented challenges of the pandemic. At first, it seemed overwhelming. But Megan and Weston—along with their incredible team—embraced the chaos and found innovative ways to adapt. From launching online orders and to-go options to fostering a sense of community in difficult times, Ramen Haus not only survived but thrived.

One of their most heartwarming initiatives during the pandemic was finding a way to give back to their community. They introduced a creative idea: customers who folded 10 paper cranes could exchange them for a free appetizer. The response was incredible. Thousands of paper cranes now adorn both Ramen Haus locations, not only adding a beautiful aesthetic but also symbolizing the strong sense of community and resilience shared by the store and its patrons.

A Flavorful Future

Today, Ramen Haus is stronger than ever. With two locations in Ogden and Farmington, they continue to innovate, creating new recipes and refining their cooking and service skills. Every year brings new opportunities to share their love for authentic Japanese cuisine with more people. The accolades speak for themselves: Ramen Haus has been recognized by Best of State for Best Soup in 2023 and 2024.

My Visit to Ramen Haus

Then came the Takoyaki, delightful balls of batter filled with tender octopus. Not only was the flavor phenomenal, but the presentation was a showstopper. The thin slice of fish skin on top seemed to come alive, gently moving as if swimming. It was mesmerizing and utterly unique.

I also tried the Taro Fries, a creative twist on the classic fry, and the Pickle Plate, which offered three distinct types of pickled delights. Each bite was a amazing, showcasing the culinary expertise and attention to detail that defines Ramen Haus.
