I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a foot zone treatment with Foot Zone Therapy by Taylor Jensen, and it was truly an enlightening experience. Having never undergone any type of foot zone work before, this visit was a real treat.
If you’re unfamiliar with foot zone therapy, Foot zone therapy is a holistic healing practice that involves applying pressure to specific areas of the feet to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes. Practitioners believe that the feet contain a detailed map of the entire body, with each part of the foot corresponding to different organs, glands, and systems. By applying pressure to these specific areas, or “zones,” practitioners aim to send signals through the body’s nervous system to promote healing and balance.
This therapy is used by individuals looking to manage chronic illnesses and support their body’s natural healing capabilities. It is also popular among those seeking assistance with fertility, pregnancy, and labor. For general wellness, regular sessions of foot zone therapy can help maintain overall health, improve sleep, boost energy levels, and promote relaxation.

As Taylor worked on different spots on my feet I kept feeling little pops or crunches. The best way to describe these sensations is when you’re massaging knots in your back and you can feel them moving around and almost popping. These crunchy spots should not be there. Taylor explained which parts of my body were connected to each crunchy area as she worked on them to help me understand what is going on inside my body. During the session, Taylor explained what she was feeling in my feet and offered advice on what could help me in the future.
For instance, I’ve had stomach issues for the last seven years, and the areas of my foot corresponding to my digestive tract and gallbladder had many crunchies. As Taylor worked out these crunchies, she used various tools, including gem spheres, gem sticks, and crystals. At the beginning of the session, Taylor had a box full of different types of gem spheres. She had me pick one that resonated with me, then provided a book detailing the chosen gem’s energy and benefits. This personalized touch added an extra layer of customization to the session.
At the end of the session, you have the option to add a foot detox. I chose to add it and was amazed by the toxins released from my feet. The water started clear, but within five minutes, it turned green with an orange hue. By the end of the detox, the water was dark green with black flakes and orange foam, each color aligning with different parts of your body. Dark green indicates gallbladder and liver detox, black flakes signify heavy metal detox, and orange represents lymphatic system drainage.
Overall, the session was both eye-opening and relaxing. I learned so much about how interconnected our bodies are and the importance of listening to what they tell us.
